Beautiful Swimmers – Excited Track
This one is vibes.

Storm Queen – It Goes On
I love a vocal in a house track, especially a big pop vocal that you can connect with.

And the whole re-released demo tapes from Virgo 4 on rush hour check them out.

Locussolus – I Want It – Lindstrom and Prins Thomas mix
Bonkers and love the fact that it breaks into into venus – Bananarama

THE MICHAEL
No Way Back / Ghent

I dig the style of Connan Mockasin.
Yuck. Great live show, too. The most simple of formulas, a good song, works wonders for this bunch.
Second time DJ Harvey, at Source festival in Utrecht. What a guy!
Charles Bradley live was very heartfelt and sincere. What a sweet, little soul man.
Everything Dan Snaith (Caribou/Daphni) touches… Yeap, the Midas touch.
Factory Floor live. Interesting to see how they’ll develop. Sounds promising.
Justin V’s edits and original material keep a consistent great quality.
Jonnie Wilkes at our own No Way Back was uhmaaaaazin’.
Nicolas Jaar live at Cat Club was cool, too. I liked those solo performances way better than the group effort. Which is just that… An effort.

I don’t even know what “Nu-Disco” is supposed to mean these days but I’ll pass. Awful lot of awful remixes on that front.

Some tracks that spring to mind then:

Ragysh by Todd Terje. Weuw…. weeeuuuuuuuuuuuuwwwwwwww…
Maurice Donovan’s track Call My Name. It’s literally got nothing else than one vocal but it’s brilliant. Very well produced.
Late Nite Tuff Guy gets deep-ah, deep-ah, deep-ahhhhhhh!
ABBA – Gimme Gimme Gimme, the T Keeler edit. He gave me this when we played together in Berlin. Pleasure delay! Very efficient, insanely fun.
Omar S – Here’s Your Trance, Now Dance! It’s hard to place, and that’s what makes it wonderful.

The seven minutes with Liam Neeson in the first episode of Life’s Too Short (Ricky Gervais/Stephen Merchant) is hands down the best tv I’ve seen all year. Youtube it!
